Cawang Tunnel Has Been Reopened

Based on the latest information, the puddle in the Cawang tunnel has receded

Eight fire engines have been dispatched to Jalan Raya DI Panjaitan, Cawang since Thursday (1/2) morning, which act to clean up the remaining mud left by puddles last night.

"Based on the latest information, the puddle in the Cawang tunnel has receded," said East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency's Fire and Rescue Division Head, Gatot Sularman.

Inundation at Cawang Tunnel Has Receded

Even the road, which was previously closed, has been reopened at 6 AM.

"Thus vehicles coming from Tanjung Priok can cross towards Cililitan," he stated.

He urged motorists to be careful when crossing the Cawang tunnel, as there is still cleaning of mud by 48 officers.
